Butter the bottoms and sides of a pie dish, approximately the same size as your tortillas (for example: if you have 10 inch tortillas, you should use a 10 inch baking dish)
Place one tortilla on the bottom of the pie dish.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tortilla and other ingredients of choice for this layer
Place another tortilla and sprinkle with cheese and other ingredients of choice
After you have your last layer complete, top with an additional tortilla and brush butter on the surface of the tortilla
Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes on 350 F
Remove foil and cook on 400 F for an additional 20 minutes, until top is lightly brown and the cheese is melted.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Cut in quarters and serve with preferred garnishes
